Licensing a JPEG Image:

I handle all intial correspondence by EMAIL. So please send an email to info@PattyBrdarPhoto.com and include the following information:

Your Name (and Business Name, if applicable)
Your Email Address
Your Phone Number - note whether it is a day or evening number you are giving, and your state or time zone.
The CATALOG NUMBER of the photo you would like to order.
The DESCRIPTION of the photo. You can cut-and-paste the text from the web page where you saw the photo.
Indicate that you are interested in LICENSING A JPEG IMAGE for publication (indicate the type of publication you have in mind - magazine, brochure, web site, etc.).
If the image is for a printed publication, indicate the quantity (i.e., 1,000 brochures or 50,000 magazines, etc.)

I will contact you by email to confirm the price and discuss the form of payment you wish to use. Note: If paying by check, there is a 10-day waiting period after the receipt of the check in PA to insure it clears the bank. Using PayPal or a money order speeds up the whole transaction.

It is at my discretion whether or not to accept any licensing deal, and I will make those decisions on a case-by-case basis.

All licensed images must include my copyright line on or under the photo:

If you would like to order a JPEG image to use in a publication or web site, please see the following rates. I have updated and simplified the rate calculation.

WEB SITE

The price for an image for a web site is only $50. As always, it is at my discretion whether or not to accept any licensing deal. You will need to send a link to me where I can see a preliminary layout of the page where the photo will be placed. The copyright line must remain on the photo. In your completed web page, you must agree to link the photo to http://www.PattyBrdarPhoto.com. (If appropriate, I will also link to your site on my Web Links page.)

NEWPAPER EDITORIAL

The price for an image for a newspaper editorial is always only $50, regardless of placement or quantity. (An editorial is a non-advertisement article that is not intended to generate business or income. Example: a New York skyline photo for an article about 9/11.)

OR OTHER PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS

Initial use fee of $50.00 plus $1 for every 1,000 prints made, or portion of 1,000 (i.e. round UP to the next thousand). Examples below:

Example Project	Fee plus $1 for every 1,000 prints	Total
6,200 brochures	$50 fee + $7 print run	= $57.00
6,200 MORE brochures, 2nd run of the same piece using same photo	no fee + $7 print run	= $7.00
230,000 newspapers (ad)	$50 fee + $230 print run	= $280.00
20,000 books and 50,000 brochures w/same photo to advertise the book	$50 fee + $20 + $50 print runs	= $120.00
